“For”ever, Be”fore”, = 44? I can sort of squint and see a large 44 in the floor maze pattern.

Also, one arrow in the array to the left points to the door in the floor. Someone else observed that feathers (falling from above) are often called “down” indicating the correct path is the door in the floor.

The correct answer 44 displays a large sun depiction which the text “I desperately long for some sunlight” seems to indicate is the correct pathway. Nuff said.
