rail fence cipher “Heart in this place” which led me to grasp at 19 since the “9” if mirrored kind of looks like a heart. I think there must be better clues for this though

My best guess about “heart in this place” is that it refers to the ribcage, hence the cage with the bird next to door 19.

Wait, no, it’s simpler than that. Think of it as “heart in the ? place”.

The answer to the cypher is “right”, as in the phrase “her heart is in the right place”. This is confirmed by the words on the ceiling, each of which can be followed with the word “right” to make another common word or phrase. (copyright, downright, alright, damn right! and birthright). The bird, captured in a cage and presumably yearning freedom, points to the door on the right.
