The 18 tripped me up for a while, but then realized that devil “666” divided by 18 is 37.

A roulette wheel (in the upper corners) has 37 slots (counting the zero).  I presume that the creatures fleeing the monster in the painting are fleeing to the left and door 37 is on the left.  Any ideas on what the 3 limbed knight and 3 legged chair mean?  Also, Jupiter? Both the planet and the Roman god are featured.

Has anyone figured out what’s with the knight, Jupiter, and chair, all missing an arm (leg)? I feel like I must be missing something obvious.

there appears to be several 3’s and 7’s scattered.  three limbs on the knight.  3 legs on the chair.  both missing on their left (left door) with 7’s to their left..  pillar is divided into 3 section with upside down 7’s as decoration.
