I could only come up with three stalactites pointing down (to door 3), and “Tree” as a play on words for three.

In front of the doors are: stew, thorn, seat and shout (on the sign) which are anagrams of west north east and south. The text says “I let my inner compass be my guide” and we can also see a compass at the bottom of the stairs. Compasses point North so door 3 is the right choice.

I agree with the three prior posters. I saw 3 beams of light and 3 stalactites. BUT my room 10 looks nothing like the room shown here. WHA?
